WINTER ADVENT. W/VWT3, 221 PCS VOLKSWAGEN

The last "true" rear-engined Transporter

The Volkswagen Type 2 (T3) is the third generation of the Volkswagen Transporter. It was larger, heavier and more angular than its predecessor, the T2, but retained the same design – with a rear engine and a cab over the front axle.

Although production in Europe ended in 1992, the T3 continued in production in South Africa until 2002. In East Germany and the Eastern Bloc, the T3 was often used by the police, fire departments and even the secret services. Special versions had, for example, built-in listening devices and communications equipment.

The perfect family car of its time?

Without a doubt – the Volkswagen T3. In the days before SUVs and minivans dominated the market, it was the dream come true for many families. It offered enormous space for passengers and luggage, and in its campervan versions, the ability to travel without the need for overnight stays.

The T3 was a car for everything: everyday school and work, summer holidays and winter ski transport.

It offered freedom previously only dreamed of.

You don't have to dream about it anymore. Just build it!
